Prince William is scheduled to attend the COP30 climate summit in South America during November, as announced by palace sources.
Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a gathering ahead of the climate summit, which is planned for in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.
The royal pair were participating in the museum gathering, marking an noteworthy combined presence at a pre-COP30 gathering arranged together with the United Kingdom administration.
The King has been a longstanding advocate of biodiversity preservation - and Prince William has inherited the mission, with his own Earthshot awards, which will be held in Brazil preceding the UN meeting.
Palace insiders have described Prince William's attendance at the forthcoming conference as stepping up an crucial position in "environmental negotiations".
The King and Prince of Wales, making a joint entrance in the state Bentley, were greeted participants featuring environmentalists, scientists, environmental activists, diplomats and government officials.
This involvement involved presentations together with President Emmanuel Macron of France and other international figures at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in the Principality of Monaco in recent months.
The COP30 summit will align with the the royal's sustainability recognition program, which will finish in the Brazilian city the day before he participates in the COP summit on 6 November.

The monarch has been a key figure at past COP meetings, providing the introductory remarks in the United Arab Emirates for the 28th Conference of Parties, including the observation: "We are custodians of the planet, not its owners".
